I've got this batch of Twinkies. If you've never seen one, it's a 4-inch traditional sponge cake with a cream filling. Vanilla only. They're as close to store-bought as you're gonna get in this place.

I've had the privilege of being pulled into this world alongside one of my children, and I'm determined to be the best father I can be to him now that I finally have the opportunity.

I'm starting to realize that I don't know what that looks like. Back home, I'd been able to periodically circumvent the... barriers keeping us apart through gifts and periodic visits, but I'm at a loss when it comes to being a father day-to-day.

Can anyone offer any general advice?

Hey, so - head's up. Not sure what's going on here, but if anyone sees a weird looking animal, four legs, two little arms coming out of the chest? Watch your wallet. I'm serious. Those things steal your credits - or whatever you're using as currency here. No clue how they do it. I mean, they're not dangerous, they're just irritating. They're from our neck of the universe. I think humans call them "shifty-looking cows". That's it. PSA from the milky way.

This is probably going to sound strange, or, hell maybe it sounds stupid but bear with me. I'm not someone who's used to having any sort of... abilities. Frankly, it's not common for my people in general. So when you use these abilities here. Is it normal to feel starved afterward? Like you could inhale an entire week's worth of rations. If not, I'm going to start getting concerned. Feels weird enough not having an allergic reaction every time someone offers a protein bar, but this is definitely new. Little more concerning than that.

Hi. It's Nadine again, the healer in Cadens.

A couple of months ago, I got funding from the Cadens Academy of Medicine to work on developing new medications utilizing a combination of local ingredients and floral ingredients from my own world that I've had magically grown here. It's a project I started before I got official funding, but things have gone a lot quicker since I had the money and lab equipment I really needed.

Long story short, I have a few things that have reached the testing stage. And I need volunteers to test them out.

Obviously this is easiest if you're in the Free Cities, but I can meet anyone in Nocwich. You can try it out and contact me with your feedback.

The three things I'm ready to do more testing on are:

A topical oil for muscle and joint pain. Three levels of potency - minor, moderate, major.

A concentrated syrup to be taken alone or mixed into a beverage. Three varieties to treat a variety of ailments - physical pain, digestion distress, or insomnia.

Bathing powder for use of treating minor to moderate joint and muscle pain.

Okay, time for the disclaimers. At high potency levels, there IS a psychoactive effect. Like a lot of heavy duty pain medication, you'll likely feel sleepy and a little out of it. Or a lot out of it. Or euphoric. Or paranoid. Music will probably sound a whole lot cooler and you'll find your appetite stimulated. And I can only guarantee those possibilities in humans. I have no idea how this will effect anyone who isn't or isn't entirely human. That's why I need to test this stuff.

And for anybody from Earth thinking 'those effects sound familiar', yes, the floral ingredient from my world is cannabis.

I can compensate you for your time.

Hi.

It's Nadine Cross, a lot of you probably remember me as the Summoned healer in Cadens. Which I still am, but I have an important update on that front.

Instead of operating out of my apartment, I have an actual medical office down the block from Mag's Inn now.

Salves and Stitches is fully set up to handle minor to moderate injuries, illnesses, poisonings, broken bones, and some minor surgeries. I'm fully stocked with tonics, potions, elixirs, poultices...any sort of herbal or apothecarial remedy. And I'm a medical student at the Academy of Medicine with a full set of tools and equipment, and a room for recovery for those that need more than a patch and go job.

And unfortunately, there's plenty of us here who can vouch for my experience.

I'm still not charging, part of this is because local doctors are expensive and a lot of us aren't exactly rolling in money, but there's a donation box now. And I'll take any sort of donation, really.

Hey there, everyone. My name is Steve Rogers and I'm one of the people most recently summoned to the Free Cities. I'm also a good friend of Sam Wilson's — we've worked together for a number of years. I know he's made quite the name for himself here.

I've only been here for a little over a month, but in that time I've noticed a sudden increase in military activity within Cadens. There's increased drills and training exercises, equipment moving in and out, that kind of thing. I went by Fort Wilbridge and tried to ask some questions, but all they really had to say was that they were acting out of an abundance of caution. Almost like they're expecting something.

It seems suspicious, so I was wondering if anyone else has noticed a change in how the factions are behaving, whether it's something I haven't picked up on in Cadens or something going on in Thorne or Solvunn. I figure it might be a good idea to compare notes so we won't be completely blindsided if something else is coming our way.

That's all I've got for now, but it's nice to meet you all. In a manner of speaking, anyway.

Just a thought, considering our recent guests - what's your opinion on vampires and werewolves? Do you have them where you come from or are they just in stories? Monsters? Misunderstood? Just another type of creature?

Garrus Vakarian here - In case we haven't met, which, seems likely at this point. As far as I've been told, this is the way to communicate with people outside of my current location. And I need some information from "Summoned". My crewmates from my world have noticed discrepancies in our memories. From my perspective, one of us has a gap six months long. Another has memories of an entirely different person serving as our commanding officer than the one I remember. So here's the question - Are we just crazy? [Garrus that's... not actually funny.] Sorry - that doesn't translate well to text, does it? What I mean is, is it common, here? For things to be out of order, or different?
