Quick survey:
1 - What do you do for work here?
2 - What did you do back home?
3 - What's your skillset?

( note: personally, I'm cool with threadjacking in my posts as long as the other person is too, go to town. )

Hello. My name is Inej, and I currently reside in Solvunn. I have been attempting to research information on the Gods and religious practices here. I have been told some wive's tales by the locals about not going out at night if you do not know the way, and the way a single person's fault can affect the lives of many if the Gods take offense.

My research in the library has not given me much more in way of specifics, just vague tales of them, theories of how they might have looked, but one thing does keep coming up: The Singularity came before them. I do not know if that means that the ones the locals see as Gods here were once people like us, pulled into this place... or if it means that the Singularity somehow created them. All the books hold the same theory: Prayer and dedication will wake them from their sleep.

I found something hidden in one of the volumes I was looking at today:

Ever searching
Ever longing
Lost and greedy
Wails of mourning
What has been found is never enough
Her reach is vast and cutting.

The parchment was ripped and smudged, nothing else could be made out on it. I am uncertain if it means anything at all, but I see no reason not to share it, just in case it might match something someone else has found.

If you have made it this far in this message, I appreciate your time. Thank you.

Hello, Summoned.

All of us benefit from taking our own steps to investigate the nature of the Singularity — its origin, purpose, and connection to the supernatural powers, ancient legends and gods that came before these warring factions.

We’re an objective third party, or should be.
[ those of us not full tilt assimilated already ] We have no real stake in this war, but hold the privilege of close contact with the artifact. I believe we’d be better served sharing information between us, than relying on parties in conflict using us as soldiers to give honest, unbiased reports.

Would any, from any faction, who’ve learned more details than the public provides be willing to share that, in the safety of the Horizon? Or collaborate to seek out these histories ourselves?

Summoned residing in Solvunn territory — would you speak on your faction’s knowledge of the Old Gods?

( it's not like she means to, and certainly not like she wants to broadcast her thoughts, in the neat, curling cursive that it comes in, to people that she doesn't even know, in a place where she's fairly certain she's all alone. sure, there had been the sudden intrusion before, of words splashed on her bedsheets and the wooden walls where she sleeps--but she had figured that must have been some sort of hallucination, perhaps even magic, or worse, some sort of curse; she doesn't know anything about this place except what those here, in solvunn, have told her, and what's a halloween anyway? some sort of other curse?

or is this something different? it wouldn't be the first time the planet said things to her that she didn't understand, a cacophony of voices scrambled together: some happy, others upset, some desperate to be lost to the lifestream entirely. but this isn't gaia, and this isn't her flower garden--the cries of the planet don't reach her here, or do they? is that the meaning of all those words before?

it's late at night when her eyes close: maybe if she thinks hard enough, long enough, she can find that pull, the tug of the lifestream to draw her thoughts together with the planet beneath her. maybe she can find a way out of here. maybe there are a lot of 'maybe's. )

[ It isn't unusual for Link to spend his quiet moments alone just like this: projecting his thoughts out into the ether, hoping that maybe - just maybe - a familiar voice will answer back to set all his worries at ease.

It's cathartic to do it, in a way. These uncertainties are not something he can share aloud, and maybe that's exactly why they are powerful enough to reach someone. ]

I miss you. Please... I don't know where to go without your guidance.
