to all:
This is probably going to sound strange, or, hell maybe it sounds stupid but bear with me. I'm not someone who's used to having any sort of... abilities. Frankly, it's not common for my people in general.
So when you use these abilities here. Is it normal to feel starved afterward? Like you could inhale an entire week's worth of rations.
If not, I'm going to start getting concerned. Feels weird enough not having an allergic reaction every time someone offers a protein bar, but this is definitely new. Little more concerning than that.

I does sound familiar, though. But then, biotics are different— in theory, anyways.

It just kind of happened the other day.

It is taking quite a toll on the body, like a good hunt. You are using more energy than you were before!

You had this magic before coming here?
no subject
I can still use it here, but I have always preferred a sword and bow. I have acquired new abilities, however. It seems that is being the same for many of us.

Just want to cover all my bases.

It's weird - my skills have always been the kind you learn, not the kind you're born with.

What's a biotic? Are they the ones who use magic in your world?
[ Are space-mages a thing? Tell him space-mages are a thing. ]

I guess it'd be considered magic. It's basically moving energy around, with your brain. Lifting things off the ground, throwing people around... really powerful biotics can make gravity wells that pull in people and objects.

Probably hard to quantify, but hey, I'm walking into this pretty blind.

I guess I never really expected to have to learn this kind of thing. But comparing it to physical skills does help.

It's... pretty much what it sounds like. Compact bar of protein. Usually shelf-stable, can be made from just about anything, and tastes a lot like dirt.

Oh
You know, I think that'd be a better option, in my opinion.

So, what'd you get? Anything cool?

A barrier, I think. Or shielding. Either that or a magical projectile repellent.
