to all:
This is probably going to sound strange, or, hell maybe it sounds stupid but bear with me. I'm not someone who's used to having any sort of... abilities. Frankly, it's not common for my people in general.
So when you use these abilities here. Is it normal to feel starved afterward? Like you could inhale an entire week's worth of rations.
If not, I'm going to start getting concerned. Feels weird enough not having an allergic reaction every time someone offers a protein bar, but this is definitely new. Little more concerning than that.

Differences, you mean like human skin and hair kind of thing, right?

Yes, that is my meaning. Those things are very important to some people. Enough for some to wage war over, which is being a terrible waste. There are also dragons, but they are fewer now.

I've heard a bit about that. I can't say it makes a lot of sense to me, but, my people tend to have one big war and call it good. Not smaller conflicts over longer periods of time.

Only one war? I admit, I am envious. My own people are not having as much war as other countries, but that is because in my kingdom, everything is belonging to all. We do not need to be fighting over such things. The same cannot be said for neighbors, and there are many who are not content to be having what is within their own borders.

There's something to be said for 'scorched earth' policy. But with our people, yeah, there was a big unification war and that's about it. Then we had to settle everyone else's problems.
[... Like the genophage but uh. Let's not talk about it.]
Communal living, you mean?

It is communal living of a sorts. Everyone is learning to fight so that they can all be contributing to the hunt, and the land itself is being very fruitful. We are an entire kingdom, but all of the villages within are living the same way. There is no need to be at one another's throats. I have spent a long time away from home, however, and sometimes I am wondering if we are only managing it because our kingdom is small compared to others.
