Good to know I'm not the only one confused by all this. If someone born with it is, then maybe I'm not half as bad as I thought.

I guess it'd be considered magic. It's basically moving energy around, with your brain. Lifting things off the ground, throwing people around... really powerful biotics can make gravity wells that pull in people and objects.
