This is probably going to sound strange, or, hell maybe it sounds stupid but bear with me. I'm not someone who's used to having any sort of... abilities. Frankly, it's not common for my people in general.

So when you use these abilities here. Is it normal to feel starved afterward? Like you could inhale an entire week's worth of rations.


If not, I'm going to start getting concerned. Feels weird enough not having an allergic reaction every time someone offers a protein bar, but this is definitely new. Little more concerning than that.

Does that happen a lot then?

My commander can call up a light - but I figured that was related to her biotics.

On the worlds I know best it is not common for people to suddenly acquire new abilities. Children may develop into magical potential, should they have the aptitude for such, but even that is largely well-understood.

I get you. We've got a similar kind of phenomenon - biotics. People develop the skill as kids, get training, all of that. We know why it happens, how it works...

So I guess the spontaneity is a new thing for both of us, huh?
