Hey there, everyone. My name is Steve Rogers and I'm one of the people most recently summoned to the Free Cities. I'm also a good friend of Sam Wilson's — we've worked together for a number of years. I know he's made quite the name for himself here.
I've only been here for a little over a month, but in that time I've noticed a sudden increase in military activity within Cadens. There's increased drills and training exercises, equipment moving in and out, that kind of thing. I went by Fort Wilbridge and tried to ask some questions, but all they really had to say was that they were acting out of an abundance of caution. Almost like they're expecting something.
It seems suspicious, so I was wondering if anyone else has noticed a change in how the factions are behaving, whether it's something I haven't picked up on in Cadens or something going on in Thorne or Solvunn. I figure it might be a good idea to compare notes so we won't be completely blindsided if something else is coming our way.
That's all I've got for now, but it's nice to meet you all. In a manner of speaking, anyway.

RAVEN MAIL IS ACTUALLY A THING. IT'S COMMON IN ASGARD AND A FEW OTHER REALMS, ACTUALLY. THERE ARE FASTER WAYS TO SEND A MESSAGE IF THE URGENCY REQUIRES IT BUT THIS CONSTANT MESSAGING IS - NOT SO COMMON.

[ Steve's still adjusting to all this timeline confusion, but it is nice that Thor's actually engaging with other people here. ]
So instant messaging is more of an Earth thing, huh? It took some getting used to for me too, if it makes you feel any better.

[ The less said about that, the better, he's learned. ]
INDEED, IT DOES MAKE ME FEEL BETTER.
AND I SUPPOSE I CANNOT COMPLAIN ABOUT BEING INUNDATED AFTER SEEING A FRACTION OF WHAT YOU'VE GOTTEN YOURSELF INTO. ARE YOU IN NEED OF AID?
[ That's what you get for being nice, Steve. Thor just gives you shit too. ]

[ Probably by refraining from cutting into conversations, but it's too late for that. And Thor is probably just being obtuse. ]
But if there are any other questions that you have, things Wanda didn't cover already, let me know.
[ Steve would prefer not to have to get too deep into what things had been like for Thor after the Snap. It's not going to be pleasant to hear, or pleasant to tell. But if Thor really wants to know, he'll at least give him a summary. ]

[ There's a slight delay in Thor's response. In the end, though, he does want to hear Steve's account - Thor trusts him to get to the heart of it, even if it's painful. ]
I WOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR A MORE DETAILED ACCOUNT. PERHAPS WHEN NEXT WE MEET IN THE HORIZON.

[ It won't be the most pleasant of conversations, but Steve will still go through with if it, if it's what Thor wants. ]
Have you set your place up yet?

WHAT OF YOURSELF?
no subject
It would be nice to see it. ]
I'd like that. I have to see if it lives up to everything you told me.
[ He knows it will likely be empty of people, he's prepared for that. ]
I only recently went in. Just a little while before we met up at the Tower. And it's been busy.
[ Translation: he hasn't really had a chance to make anything. ]

[ He would know. It's usually the first place he goes when he goes into his Horizon. In truth, he isn't certain of how he feels about the rest of it, but he doesn't have another home. It will be better with people in it. He convinces himself of that.
It doesn't surprise him that Steve hasn't created anything for himself yet. He's clearly been busy, but Thor is curious - Steve is always so private. When he'd last seen Steve in person, the compound was to be his home. He wouldn't be surprised to see something similar. ]
I UNDERSTAND. WHEN YOU HAVE A MOMENT TO PREPARE YOUR HORIZON, LET ME KNOW - I WOULD SEE WHAT YOU DECIDE ON.

I would say that won't do anything for me, but I guess in the Horizon anything goes.
Sure, but let's focus on your place first. I'll get in touch when it's a good time to visit.
