Hey there, everyone. My name is Steve Rogers and I'm one of the people most recently summoned to the Free Cities. I'm also a good friend of Sam Wilson's — we've worked together for a number of years. I know he's made quite the name for himself here.

I've only been here for a little over a month, but in that time I've noticed a sudden increase in military activity within Cadens. There's increased drills and training exercises, equipment moving in and out, that kind of thing. I went by Fort Wilbridge and tried to ask some questions, but all they really had to say was that they were acting out of an abundance of caution. Almost like they're expecting something.

It seems suspicious, so I was wondering if anyone else has noticed a change in how the factions are behaving, whether it's something I haven't picked up on in Cadens or something going on in Thorne or Solvunn. I figure it might be a good idea to compare notes so we won't be completely blindsided if something else is coming our way.

That's all I've got for now, but it's nice to meet you all. In a manner of speaking, anyway.

[ This might not be the most personal way for them to have made contact, but given that their interactions have been limited at best so far, maybe it is appropriate. ]

And to know that we've got someone keeping an eye on things in Thorne. It sounds like they're more anticipating an attack than planning to go on the offensive.
What are the implications of the Queen going to Borrel?

[At least his conversation with Steve Rogers will not devolve into pure inanity unlike sOME PEOPLE, so he is fine with the formality.]

And I’m surprised to hear from you, all things considered. [Such as, disappearing without a trace back on Earth. But maybe that’s a conversation for some other time.] But it’s a relief you’re here.

Borrel’s where the kingdom’s military base is stationed. The captain of which also happens to be the Queen’s uncle.

[ Steve is desperate for formality at this point. This has really gotten away from him. So at least Steven and Stephen can have a civil chat. ]

It seems like Sam's been doing a great job here, but I'm happy to contribute whatever I can. I hear you two are in contact often.

Good ol' nepotism, huh? I guess I shouldn't expect any different. So they're getting themselves ready too.

Sam and I meet up once a week, ideally, to discuss what we can. Current events, political climate, fluctuations in the Singularity, that kind of thing. I'm glad to see he's on the mend now.

What's royalty without a little nepotism? Yes, they're preparing for something, even if I can't quite put my finger on what.

That's a good call. I know the Horizon is a lot more secure than this. And yeah, he's doing better, I've been keeping a close eye on him.

Horizon's the go-to place interfaction mingling. The only place, really.

If that were the case, I'd think Thorne would be a little more transparent about sounding the alarm. But maybe the situation's more delicate than I give it credit for.

[But it's still a little odd, to him.]

Yeah, I'm starting to pick up on that. It might be harder to coordinate meeting there, but is probably worth it for the extra privacy.

[ Granted, some messages sent like this can be done one-on-one, but this sort of open forum is... a bit much. ]

It could be there's something we're missing. I know there's a lot of context I still don't have.

I have the Sanctum up and running in my domain. You should swing by sometime when you’re not being assaulted by brain messages left and right.

I’m not sure how much I can uncover, but I’m not against doing some poking around at the castle. I have access to a few of the more restricted areas, though I doubt anyone’s going to leave top-secret documentation lying around for me to nose through.

You know, I always kind of meant to visit. It was just never really the right time, I guess. We can fix that now, even if it isn't the real thing.

Probably not, but don't worry. Like I said, I can work enough magic to bail myself out if needed.

[ Steve makes the mental note, and he has to admit he's intrigued. He somehow doesn't think it's anything good, what took place between Strange and Wanda. ]
