Just a thought, considering our recent guests - what's your opinion on vampires and werewolves? Do you have them where you come from or are they just in stories? Monsters? Misunderstood? Just another type of creature?

You remember the dream, don't you?

Mostly intrigued, if you ever wanted to talk about it.
But I would definitely still drink kompot, or even kvass, with you.

I would genuinely have to rethink my rethinking if you ever offer me herring in any shape or form.
But, thank you.

[if nothing else, chester has always been honest with her.]
Have you been getting responses you expected?

If offering herring is your trump card, then I think you need to work on that a bit, Ches.

That's good. To be fair, I think most if not all of us have seen our fair share of things that a majority would consider frightening or strange. What is your take on vampires?

Maybe I should invite you over instead? That way I can finangle some actually good Eastern European goodies. It would only be fair.

I seriously wonder now if I've ever met werewolves or vampires at all myself, too. Are the legends true, about their weaknesses?

You just let me know when you want to come around and I'll make the time.

I always wondered if anyone would give up those weaknesses so easily.
We really wouldn't know any better if we're surrounded by them, huh.

Work?

I suppose that makes sense. Stakes will kill anyone if it's through the heart, etc.

Everyone talks about actively getting a job.
In Solvunn we get paid for helping out, but we also get given a lot of things for free.
They have this weird notion of us being connected to their old gods.

We don't use the c-word, but it definitely feels like that.

I don't think many of us here believe in any of this religious stuff they have going for them.
Besides, sometimes I wish we had a little bit more to do.
Thorne ought to be more exciting on the daily.

Too many exorcism movies?

I thought Thorne had a huge library with books on magic, or something.
An alternative for TV and video games?

I suppose that would do it.

And you almost got me there for a second.
If you need any pointers, let me know.

About magic.
Not about reading.

I've just had a bit more practice before this place.
And not particularly. It's hard to learn something new when I can mostly just do it myself.
