Yes, which is kind of wild that the Free Cities doesn't seem to believe in them and Thorne seems skeptical. Solvunn is very faithful but they're the ones who have logical reasons to be because their prayers are actively being answered and the gods respond over here. But the heralds thing, they ran amuck over all the territories, so how that didn't immediately lead people to go 'oh fuck it's real' is beyond me.

I've been here since October so I'm not one of the older people, but I'm in Solvunn which is god land so I know the pantheon here, etc., and have now interacted with the Singularity which was a wild experience.

I can understand why people might not want them to be real, even if they've witnessed them. Back home, most people would accept bizarre explanations for gods because they'd rather not believe. Maybe it's about wanting to pretend it's not happening.

The gods in my world just abandoned the world. For whatever their reasons were. Or they treated the worlds they made as playgrounds they could shut down when bored. I don't think the ones here are like that ... yet, since they still respond.

Offering a prayer doesn't always mean it'll be answered, but it sounds like the gods here are a little more active that way.

Ours are tied to it, or at least tied to the ideas of "western civilization." Not everyone believes in them anymore, but they're still kicking.

In Solvunn at least they're very active. Most prayers do get answered and they favor it probably because they are believed in strongly. I guess when all the Summoned got kidnapped last year, the cult was able to get help from the gods because of their prayers. It means the Solvunnites do have a particular brand of magic and power that not everywhere else does. People should be glad they like to just hang out with goats and trees.

We do too. There's a few of us who have tried to connect with them. They're open to it. I'm not sure if they'd answer a summoning somewhere else, but I'm not sure anyone's tried. I don't see why they wouldn't.

Sympathies probably. As you know, they can be real assholes. I guess you could say Persephone is my divine "mother." She took her son's power and gave it all to me.

His name is Reynard the Fox, I've never come across his name in Greek mythology, but he's named in European mythology. Not sure how that came about, maybe she had him during medieval times.

She doesn't have any demigod children in our world. At least I'm pretty sure she doesn't have any, in recent years for sure.

He's not a demigod, he was a full god. I don't know if he's Hades' son, he didn't give me a parental breakdown, but both of his parents were gods. He had a demigod son himself, it's very rare to have those in my world, they're considered especially dangerous.

We're a little more common in my world. Greek copulating habits never change. Some demigods can just be a little more dangerous than others.

He's a trickster and a shapeshifter. Not unlike the god we're dealing with now. He also loves to play games with people.

Ha! No, I mean I assume I have those abilities, I've never used them. I'm actually very new, it's only been a few months, I hadn't discovered what I was supposed to be doing yet. I have been using life magic primarily, healing and growing plants. From what Persephone said, once you get the God Seed, you decide from there what you use it for. Her son is a psycho so he used it to destroy people.

Any abilities a demigod has is directly related to their godly parent. Is the God Seed tied to who gives it, or it more like a generic do-with-it-whatever-you-will boon?

I'm something of an abnormality, the way the gods talk, there hasn't been another human turned into one, at least not for a long time. It's likely that Reynard always had the ability to use his mother's gifts but chose to be a dickhead instead.

So you just got "lucky." It's considered a gift back home to get that godly immortality, but it's not offered very often either.
Being a dickhead isn't exactly an uncommon godly trait.
