I'm something of an abnormality, the way the gods talk, there hasn't been another human turned into one, at least not for a long time. It's likely that Reynard always had the ability to use his mother's gifts but chose to be a dickhead instead.

So you just got "lucky." It's considered a gift back home to get that godly immortality, but it's not offered very often either.
Being a dickhead isn't exactly an uncommon godly trait.

Yeah that Iris. We only met a few times, but she seemed eager to help me out. I'm not sure why she was the one chosen, maybe she had time or Persephone had a good relationship with her.

I'm working on it! Solvunn has a lot of space to practice in. I've gotten in contact with a goddess here, she's still in the testing me stage, but I think it'll work out. The gods aren't as prevalent in the other places so you might not have an easy way of contacting them yourself.

I can see that. She helps us message each other back home, but I've never met her face to face.

I'm not really interested in reaching out to any gods right now anyway, so I've got time to figure out if I change my mind. Thorne seems like it wants to distance itself from any god shenanigans.

Which is very interesting considering they know that gods are real, the gods have literally ripped their way through all the territories. They make their presence known. So you'd think they would want to get in good with the gods themselves, since Solvunn has all their favoritism right now.

Maybe they don't want to feel beholden to the gods, even moreso than the other territories. Just because they're real doesn't mean people might like adhering to the god rules or being reliant on them.
I guess I'll get a better sense of why they feel that way here the longer I'm here.
