Just a thought, considering our recent guests - what's your opinion on vampires and werewolves? Do you have them where you come from or are they just in stories? Monsters? Misunderstood? Just another type of creature?

You'd probably call it more "don't screw around on my ship or else", and less forgiveness.

Depends on the perspective, I think. Probably didn't feel that way to everyone, but for the people with bounties on their heads... serving on a ship where you didn't have to worry about that kind of thing was a relief.

I guess I can see that. Supernaturals back home have to keep their heads down or they get hunted, so it would make sense to sacrifice a total lack of freedom for conditional freedom.

Good news is, once we got the job done, almost everyone had opportunity for more freedom. New lives - more respect back home.

Sounds like a win-win to me. That's kind of how my place operates back home. We take in strays, they learn to live on their own, they end up heading out. Or staying, some of them stay.

That's a good cause, from what I've seen. Know a lot of those places whose old inhabitants came back to defend them when they had to.
