Just a thought, considering our recent guests - what's your opinion on vampires and werewolves? Do you have them where you come from or are they just in stories? Monsters? Misunderstood? Just another type of creature?

I hadn't heard of either until recently. No such species exist where I'm from -- at least, not to my knowledge. I take it you have some experience, if you are interested enough to ask the Summoned at large?

Strange. Almost everyone I've run into has heard of them before, at least in legends. Or, I guess I should say interesting rather than strange. And yeah, both exist back in my home, and I've had some run-ins with werewolves. No vampires yet, at least that I know of.

That is interesting. It is possible they exist in my world, but tale of them never spread to my country. The world is vast, after all. Or shall I say 'worlds,' plural?

I'm curious about their cultures, and Nocwich in general. The opportunity for trade and cultural exchange is important, especially since we Summoned have apparently made a significant enough impression beyond the borders of our respective hosts to attract attention.

What is your impression of werewolves, then?

True. They're pretty much everywhere back home because of pop culture and all that. And also because they actually exist, I'd imagine. Most places have legends about similar sorts of 'monsters.'

I'm curious about Nocwich myself. Sounds like somewhere I might like to live, but then again, I don't know much about it.

[Truth is, he'd like to live there because there's other werewolves, which doesn't seem too common around here, but he's not saying it.]

Werewolves? Mostly normal, I'd say. A bit more in touch with nature, you could say. Instinctive. There's good and bad ones, just like anyone else.

The part about actually wanting to live in Nocwich surprises him, though. ]

Really? Even though it's always night-time there? I don't think I could live in a place like that.

Do they really turn into wolves at will? Magic can't be used to do that where I'm from.

Is it always nighttime there? Huh. I didn't know that. Maybe that changes my mind a little.

Where I come from, yeah, it's at will. Some of the legends and stuff say they can't help it, when it's the full moon or they get overwhelmed with emotion. Partly true, but not entirely.

So I've read. The library has a little information, though nothing I could find goes into great detail.

That is very impressive. You seem personally knowledgeable -- someone important to you is one?
