What about learning magic?

I'm not against it, but it's a little harder around here. They're not so comfortable with magic in the Free Cities.

New combat skills should be easy to look into at least, right?

I did find somebody to brush up on my sword fighting with.

Hopefully that'll last me a couple weeks.

( But probably not because... serum things. Winter soldier things. It's real damn hard for him not to immediately become an expert at most forms of combat.

Not that he'd brag about it. It's literally his only Thing. )

There's being an expert at a particular weapon, and then there's being able to kill somebody with it regardless.

Didn't exactly have a ton of people running around waving fifth century swords to practice my fencing technique against.

The Winter Soldier was a popular character in putting fear in children in Sokovia. Stories were as scary as ones about baba yaga or bauk.

Imagine how we felt.

It was painted more as a ghost/monster though, so it took me a moment to make the connection. No one expects the things that lurk in the deep woods to be real, after all.
