To: All Summoned
This is the most important question I've had since coming here. I need to get opinions from the rest of you, for science.
Why are all of the Summoned attractive? I have not met a single ugly Summoned and while I do love looking at your gorgeous faces, it seems unusual. Is there an attractiveness requirement? Do they take that into consideration when plucking us out of our universes? Could there be deeper reasons or do they think 'well if they don't help us out, at least they up the beauty curve of our world from a four to a seven'?
I mean, that's what I would do, but I'm interested in other thoughts. Please do not respond to this with false modesty; I know you're pretty, you know you're pretty, this is serious. Unless one of you truly thinks you are unattractive in which case show me a picture if you can and I'll tell you why you're wrong.

You’ve been adjusting well.
[Well enough to forget all about training until Sephiroth suggests it as a way to redirect untended frustrations elsewhere, apparently. At least he’s transparent about where his priorities lie.
He raises his blade, pointing it at a nearby weapons rack.]
But in no hurry to take my advice.
[About sharpening one’s swordsmanship skills.]
Pick one.

But he still has a moment of disappointment when the very pretty swordsman points at weapons instead of responding to his greeting. Ah, well. That's fine. He has already been told over and over again that he'll be terrible as a hunter without skills other than shooting. So really, Jesper's so quick to adapt and change tactics. Being able to stab things might be good too. ]
Oh I'm very flexible. In more than one way.
[ Adjustment, sure, he'll use wordplay where he can. Jesper goes over to pick up a sword. While it is not his primary weapon in the least, he does look like he knows how to hold it. It's not the grip of an amateur, although not one of an expert either. He twirls the sword with ease, flashy tricks are his bread and butter, and smiles at Sephiroth. ]
Remember not to break me. Stabbing at a minimum. I still have to go back.

[Said so bluntly, proof of Sephitoh's acknowledgment of his wordplay and his propensity to shrug it off all the same. To bring the obvious into light, in case Jesper himself has not noticed it himself.
He holds his sword aloft, points it at Jesper. His brow raises.]
You'd condone stabbing? [This time, he has a tinge of skepticism in his voice, though he doubts it's serious.] Maybe once you're more skilled. More aptitude and less flash.

You caught me, gorgeous. I only mean it if you like it.
[ Otherwise it's harmless playfulness! Perfectly innocent! Anyway. He shakes his head. He'll have to be more careful with his joking considering how somber Sephiroth is.]
No, sorry, I'm just messing around. Please don't stab me.
[ Jesper is not a terrible swordsman, he can hold his own against most decent ones, even a few at a time, but he isn't in Sephiroth's level and not even in the area of it. ]

[The meaning unspoken is that Jesper will just have to try a little harder if he wants a reaction; how many times has just an errant passerby called him pretty, remarked on his hair, either politely or otherwise? It falls off of his shoulders like water rolling off stone.
Sephiroth falls into stance, holding his sword two-handed, elbow lifted with his blade running parallel with his arm. A practice sword is no Masamune, but it’ll have to do for now. The balance is different, but basic technique remains the same.]
Impress me in other ways. How fast are you?

[ It's flattery but it's also blunt honesty, a nice mix of the two. Sephiroth is lovely, that is the truth. Jesper compliments people without agenda all of the time, he likes the way it feels when they react, either with blushes or smiles, and so he'll keep trying to get one out of Sephiroth. Flirting comes as easily to him as breathing.
Jesper eyes his stance and mirrors it. He's there to spar as much as he is to learn. He doesn't have the technique, but he's an extremely good learner. He flashes a smile from behind the sword. ]
Try to catch me and find out.
[ One of Jesper's top talents is his speed. He is incredibly fast, he's able to shoot a gun and holster it in a split second, faster than people can usually follow the sight of. He's slippery and agile and has outrun dangerous people before, so even if he's not to Sephiroth's fighting level, he's good at defense. ]
