open: everyone;

[ This is the first time he's really doing this shit on this mind-imposed social network, so bear with him. ]

I'm a shitty judge of timing, so maybe this isn't...a good time, but—

I've got this batch of Twinkies. If you've never seen one, it's a 4-inch traditional sponge cake with a cream filling. Vanilla only. They're as close to store-bought as you're gonna get in this place.

If you've got a hankering for processed junk from home, I'll be at the Nocwich square handing them out whenever the doors open again.

...

Okay, that's all, thank you.

(( ooc: threadjacking welcome; if you reply, you can assume your character got a twinkie. feel free to spontaneously make other food requests. ))

[ Pure sugar isn't the worst thing as far as Thancred is concerned, but he also realizes that sugar functions best when paired with other things.

(He has no idea what corn syrup is, bless him.) ]

I see. Is this related to those supermarkets you mentioned before?

I also still feel as if I'm missing something. Why is there such a demand for food made with such terrible ingredients?

[ As far as he can see, everyone who knows what these Twinkies are is excited for them, but... why. ]

Then a good deal of the allure is linked to the fact that it isn't good for you. Fascinating.

I feel as if I have no choice but to try one now and learn what all the fuss is about.

It should be a good test of whether they actually taste good or if all the elements you described to me play a large part in the experience of having one.
