Hi everyone, it's Julia Wicker here again. When the Singularity was struggling a few months ago, before the -- what are we calling it? Vision? Hallucination? Anyway -- god drama, I came on here to mention what the Singularity was communicating with me. It wasn't a lot, but it did seem to make people aware that it was more than a giant magic rock.

I don't know if anyone else has had this experience since that all went down, but it felt like it was calling to me again, and I went to connect. I know that even though we couldn't 'fix' what it was upset about back then, it still seemed like a good idea for more than two people to have a bond with it, so if you feel that pull and you're interested in going to say hi, it turned out well for me! I can go with you, if you're unsure.

AND Unrelated to that, I wanted to mention that the spellwork from my world works really well here, so if people want to learn new magical skills that aren't native to here, or you don't have access to a lot of it, I'd be happy to teach you! I figured a few things might have come in handy with our more recent calamity, so if you want to meet up in Nocwich, I'm there. Solvunn folks, you know where to find me.

Welllll hopefully he didn't see any of that, but we can make it secret from here.

I think it's very sweet of you. I know he's not great at letting other people take care of him.

The spell itself is easy to learn, but being able to do it as an expert took months of steady practice. Because it starts with a spark and then you can gain the endurance to lengthen the spell, make it brighter, etc. It's a process but you're a demigod, you'll probably catch on fast.

Oh not again. I'm really bad at the think about one person hard part of this. I get distracted. He's the worst, and he thinks I'm the worst, but I'm not the one who forgot that I could take him out into the sunlight anytime he wanted when he was stuck underground. And the sunlight spell he learned? I don't know if it's the spell or because he's using his own energy to power it so it can give him back energy, but it doesn't seem to work so good. That's why I want to learn. I don't need sunlight, so it can take whatever it needs from me.

I wouldn't sweat it, a lot of people don't notice when things go up on here, or they turn it off to focus on work/whatever. He would've chimed in by now if he saw it probably!

Let me guess, he didn't want to 'worry' you. I know the type.

You can test it out on Apollo if you want to be sure before doing it with him, but I've used it a bunch of times and have yet to blind anyone.

Unless he's lying in wait for me at home, because he knows I'll try to crawl under a rock if he does it in public. No, of course not. He never wants people to worry about him, because that's his job. Oh please, no. He'd be so excited that I was learning. He'd never shut up about it. There would be haiku. I can't test it on Apollo. I can test it on - would I get in trouble if I test it on a vampire in Nocwich? I think I would.

My best friend Quentin is like that. Always worried about literally everyone else first and himself second. Getting him to take care of himself has been a lifelong struggle.

Let's not get in trouble for nearly killing a vampire, no. It'd be very rude when they just opened Ikorr up. It's fine you can practice at night, it's much brighter than a typical light spell, so you'll be able to tell the difference and learn how to hold onto it.

It's a good idea, Will probably does need an external source for this.

Got any tips that work? I'm trying to be better about me, so he doesn't have to worry about that so much, but I don't think it's working. I don't think it's big enough. He just keeps filling up the space with more people. Does Quentin do that? Ah, I was kidding about the vampires. Unless they're actual monsters - I know the ones here aren't empousae. I think he does. He can make it himself, sometimes - not with a spell I mean. Just ... make it. But if he hasn't been getting any sunlight, it doesn't help him at all. He wilts.

Usually with Quentin I remind him that taking care of himself IS taking care of other people, because we love and worry about him too. It's kind of one of those 'you can't be healthy for other people until you're healthy for yourself' things.

Q's a special case though in that he doesn't really love himself, so telling him he's important to other people does help him a lot in general. I don't get the sense from Will that he has those kind of self-esteem issues, but hey, it's always nice to hear that you're loved.

Solar powered, I get it. The magic calls on the sun at any time because it's technically always there, we're the ones moving. I'm sure he'll appreciate the effort you're putting in to be his personal sun lamp.
