Hi everyone, it's Julia Wicker here again. When the Singularity was struggling a few months ago, before the -- what are we calling it? Vision? Hallucination? Anyway -- god drama, I came on here to mention what the Singularity was communicating with me. It wasn't a lot, but it did seem to make people aware that it was more than a giant magic rock.

I don't know if anyone else has had this experience since that all went down, but it felt like it was calling to me again, and I went to connect. I know that even though we couldn't 'fix' what it was upset about back then, it still seemed like a good idea for more than two people to have a bond with it, so if you feel that pull and you're interested in going to say hi, it turned out well for me! I can go with you, if you're unsure.

AND Unrelated to that, I wanted to mention that the spellwork from my world works really well here, so if people want to learn new magical skills that aren't native to here, or you don't have access to a lot of it, I'd be happy to teach you! I figured a few things might have come in handy with our more recent calamity, so if you want to meet up in Nocwich, I'm there. Solvunn folks, you know where to find me.

What kind of magic?

How did you approach it?
Did you just walk up to it in the Horizon?

I don't know. It doesn't have much sentience but I can see a very old god losing that. All magic comes from a source though, I'd say it is the source.

Eh, the jury's still out, but so far so good.

Healing, elemental bending, telekinesis, illusions, I don't know, it depends on what you're interested in.

I did, yeah. That's how I communicated with it the first time but luckily this time it was not flipping out. It feels natural, but I guess that's because it's a part of us here.

That’s not a lot of details? How did you know two people were a good idea? It turned out good - but how? Good like you aren’t dead? Good like a unicorn? What’s “good”??

And - about the spells. Do you know any for light? Sunlight. Not electric light.

That seems almost too easy.
Do you... talk to it? Or just go up and see what happens?

I don't have a whole lot of details! It's a magical sentient being that we're all connected to here because it's connected to everything on the planet, from what I can tell. Which would make sense as it's considered the center of magic and everything is magical. I figure since we're living here, it's good to engage with it, rather than not.

Yep, I have a really good sunlight one I use when I'm doing nightly patrols.

I do talk to it, but it can't really talk back in words. It communicates with feelings and visions, at least to me. In my world, there are the gods and then there are the old gods. It's said that to the old gods, living things are specks of cells, they're so much on a higher level that they don't exist the way everyone else does. I think maybe the Singularity is similar.

So what happened? Are you not allowed to say? I kind of hope it’s because you don’t want to say. That’s not the same thing.

Do you have to already know magic to learn? Or make a deal with Hecate?

What happened when I bonded with it? It shared emotions and some visions, I think the only way it can communicate. Nothing too dramatic but it's been quiet since the whole god thing.

Nope, anyone can learn here. It just requires the magical ability and we all have that naturally now. It takes some practice but it's a simple spell.

And by simple I mean technically complicated as it's calling upon the power of the sun, but once you have it under control it feels like having a nightlight.

I don't think it really has a concept of deceit? Not from what I can tell. So I guess we can trust that it's a magical entity doing its own thing and it likes us.

That's kind of what I've been considering. Something that is either trapped or fallen so far into itself...or mayhaps intentionally so.

I may be grasping at kelp, as the saying goes. I suppose just a massive coalescence of aether or something similar makes as much sense.

I'm not sure it's something we can figure out, given that we saw a future where centuries down the line we don't know much more. That isn't a reason to give up before we start, but it might just be itself. I think it likes us though, that's probably why we get our own domains.

I'm not unfamiliar with communicating via visions, albeit it's generally during dreams and not something I actively seek out. Sometimes that's what happens with our gods back home.
You're not worried about it like, I don't know, pulling you into another long winded illusion?

It's interesting, it gives me visions of plants and flowers that sort of represent feelings. I guess I have to accept that the spring goddess is the vibe I'm giving off.

Worried, not really, mostly because I don't think I could do anything if it did. Fatalistic, maybe, but we don't have proof that the Singularity is what did it. Considering Fred (the clown god) is the one who gave us those two messages, I think he's probably to blame.

There was a man who used to be here, one of the first few to have a stronger connection to the Singularity. He found himself pulled into a strange place once and separated from the rest of us, we were dealing with other issues in the real world and Horizon. This was almost two years ago, though.

That is a fair point. It does seem to want us around, to whatever end.

Mayhaps I should stop putting this off.

So the visions are based on feelings it reads from us?
I don't think I've seen anyone blame the clown for collective illusion. I remember you telling me about him though. I've just been assuming it was connected to the Singularity, since it started when we were shoved at it.

How was he able to get out?
And it hasn't happened since, that you know of?

I'm not sure - for either question. Only that he did wake up eventually.

I only thought it should be brought up for those who mean to connect with it.

It's powerful and sometimes unpredictable, it should be treated with respect for both.

I did know about that, and it's definitely relevant. It is taking a risk to bond with a supernatural being we don't fully understand and everyone should know that, thank you. I don't want it to seem like I'm going hey kids, everyone eat some cocaine, it'll probably be okay!
