@everyone

does any1 know what the deciding factor is 4 the mages dragging us in2 this world?
there doesnt seem 2 be much of a pattern…
we have just as many supernatural/superhero/magic types as not
theres adults as much as theres kids (sorry not sorry to all the teenagers: ur still just kids, deal w/ it)
so whats the common denominator
whats on their checklist

personally i think its a requirement 2 be super hot if ur summoned
every time we get together 4 some swanky party hosted by someone its like a fucking hollywood extravaganza
this is not a complaint but it IS weird right
like are we being fetishized by the natives???
(THAT gets real weird when u think abt the teenagers tho Y I K E S)

thoughts/opinions?
(do we think they even specifically get 2 choose who they pluck out of their lives or is it all at random?
magic is chaos, right??
come @ me research bros ik ur out there)

I don't believe the ritual is refined enough to pinpoint specific people--that is, they cannot look beyond the boundaries between worlds and choose particular individuals. They use the arcana symbols to search for broad strokes: personality traits, desirable occupations, certain skillsets.

This also explains why there are groups of us from the same world, or various versions of "Earth". Once they have a "lock" on a certain place, it's easy to keep summoning from there. Timeline discrepancies are a result of the inaccurate nature of the ritual.

Otherwise, they don't know what they're doing.

We have a version of it, though it's used for games rather than any kind of magical practice. I've come to understand that some things are constant across worlds, with slight variation. This seems to be one of them, and they do seem to hold some kind of power here, at least when it comes to finding the signature of a person.

Each of the factions have a preoccupation with the Singularity. We don't know the reasoning that compelled them to look past the veil between worlds. All I can guess is that they are trying to use us to turn the tides in an inevitable war, one that has yet to come.

I've met a few that share my arcana. The assignment of personality traits, etc. based on sign seems to be superstition, however I can attest to the magical properties of using specific symbols to enhance spells and more effectively focus magic. Make of that what you will.

There was an exchange of blows between Thorne and the Free Cities. The Queen instigated, and Cadens responded in kind. Libertas is still recovering, but there has been no further aggression. I believe both nations are frightened of what might result.

Both. The arcana system ties us to the Singularity in some way, if it's used as part of the summoning ritual.

The bombing of Libertas was almost a year ago, I believe. Summoned began arriving a year before that. It's been some time.

No, but I believe it helps focus the energies. Like a signature. The natives here don't have the same attachment to the Singularity that we do.

The first Summoned all arrived in Thorne. It wasn't until later that the Free Cities and Solvunn began to replicate the ritual.

I'm not sure the ritual is any more refined across factions. The building blocks must be the same, but it's likely there are variations, yes.

[Anyway, hang on.]

Literal ghosts?

An inborn ability?

No, I can't imagine it is.
