there doesnt seem 2 be much of a pattern…
we have just as many supernatural/superhero/magic types as not
theres adults as much as theres kids (sorry not sorry to all the teenagers: ur still just kids, deal w/ it)
so whats the common denominator
whats on their checklist

personally i think its a requirement 2 be super hot if ur summoned
every time we get together 4 some swanky party hosted by someone its like a fucking hollywood extravaganza
this is not a complaint but it IS weird right
like are we being fetishized by the natives???

I'm pretty sure they use the same complex algorithm Drew Carey used to pick the winner of Whose Line.

But seriously, I'm not sure if it so much chooses a specific person as just...casts out a net and who gets grabbed gets grabbed. I know Thorne ends up with people they'd rather not - or used to, they'd lock them up. I know the locking up doesn't happen anymore, but I'd bet they're still just sort of getting whoever. And it's probably the same for the Free Cities and Solvunn.

There's only so many people I can make pop culture references with.

It's honestly just a theory I have, but I've been here since they started doing this and I'm pretty sure Thorne is making things up as they go along. And the other factions are clearly just using Thorne's outline for this.

But looking at it academically...this is crazy powerful magic they're messing with. Magic that's more powerful than space and time and other forces we humans consider infinite. It's not surprising if they only have so much control and direction.
