Is Capitalist something like a Lord Paramount?
I don't know what you were asking earlier, but I do come from a place a little like Thorne. Or there are places like Thorne in it — southron men like those of Thorne think the North wild. I've tried to put a small piece of the North in the Horizon. We have Free Cities, but not quite like the ones here, and we have nothing like Nocwich. Only woods and trees, and the Free Folk, and the White Walkers, and the old stories.

The Starks were kings in the North in the old days before the Conquest — before the dragons. Wardens of the North ever since. It is the duty of my father's house to defend the North and the Wall — from the Free Folk and the White Walkers. Though the Free Folk are our allies, now.
Might be that you are some sort of descendent.
[But for that to be so, it would mean that Sansa -- the last trueborn Stark -- will marry again, and have sons to take her name. He cannot think that Starks long years down the line might be descended from him, because there is no one to legitimize him but himself, and he has little stomach for pretending to be other than he is. They must be the children of his sister's children.]

[ As if that particular trait needed to be any bigger. ]
someone named aegon is up in this thread knowing nothing
Lancelot?
I've heard of men called Lancel, but my name is Jon.

"Okay, but you don't have to call yourself that, though..."
I'm not a Stark because my mother wasn't Lady Stark. I am a bastard. Snow is the name given to the natural child of any lord in the North — if their father acknowledges them. If not, they would have no family name at all.

Or, like. A medieval shilling. ]

[ Not that his dad ever acknowledged them, if he even knew about them. Or if Tony even – hm. Yeah. Anyway– ]
