There's too much at risk here, in all seriousness, and not just because I have the delight of being a Thorne resident. I plan on looking around but not at the cost of making it unsafe for those who'll return once the portals are open.

Exactly, so I'll stick to being admired elsewhere. I could say the same for you not getting admired by any of the guards around Cadens too closely while everything's up in the air.

If they try to, you won't be alone in pushing back against him going back if that's not what he wants. I don't think the nations will be so quick to force it this time when there's more at risk with whatever's going on here. Plus you can't tell me the Free Cities wouldn't be quick to offer a Summoned from either Thorne or Solvunn a place to stay.

All the more reason for them to not let us go if it comes down to that. [ Which isn't reassuring but a reality they need to address all the same, and Claude exhales a sigh to himself. Even though we're outnumbered, I have a hard time believing it'd come down to that. We've made friends elsewhere too, after all.

I think it's uncertainty for everyone, obviously. With the climate going on, we don't know when or if they'll even let you back, so it could be a stressful situation. I'm sure one way or the other it'll even out, but the anxiety is there. Don't worry, I'll look out for him.

Trust me, just how long this will go on for was the first thing that crossed my mind. I'd be surprised if this ended in anything other than us being used as some sort of bargaining just like before, and I've never been good at waiting to find something out.
