That's good to know, and there's quite a few other Summoned also from the Free Cities though not everyone I was with when we left the Nether. It seems even going through the portals around the same time wasn't enough to keep us from being split up.

Me? I wouldn't dream of it. [ He would. ] I could say the same for you in Cadens, though I could also give you all the fun places to get into trouble while we're at it.

I was already planning on spending all my time at the beach.

Can't go wrong with that plan since there's plenty to see in Aquila. Be sure to stop by the tavern near where you can get beach supplies. Their drinks change frequently and are worth trying at least a couple times.

You'll be staying after the portals are fixed?

I'd be lying if I said I was anything other than pleased to hear it, though I hope it doesn't put you in too much danger from Thorne or the Free Cities once they realize you're staying.

But more importantly than that, this means you're a lot closer for tea these days assuming that I also get out of Thorne. You'll have to stop by the loft since I'll owe you a drink there, too.

With all that's happened in the past few months I doubt Thorne has the resources to do anything to me from there. This is more likely to cause trouble for those staying in Thorne, but I don't think Sidwell can risk too much with them right now either.

The Free Cities - I think with the troubles with the Singularity they won't complain about receiving an extra one of us for free.

[ To throw into the crater, if anything, but - it's something. And he knows Viktor intends to use whatever clout he has to shield him, if necessary. He doesn't like that part, he just can't argue against it if he really does mean to stay.

Which is all to say - he's thought about this, for even longer than he's considered it an actual possibility. He's aware of the risks, including to those uninvolved. He doesn't feel entirely good about it - but at least this development means no one can be accused of helping him escape. ]

[ There's a pause while Claude considers that, if only to take a moment to properly think it over instead of leaping to a joke which might diminish something about what Kyle's told him. What Kyle's planned since it's easy to read that through what's said and what isn't for what it hints around.

The sort of thing which brings a smile to his face for multiple reasons. If he had to point to one in particular, then it'd be that it's good to know that even with everything going on, there's still space for a friend to chase happiness over anything else. ]

Then I wish you nothing out of the ordinary surveillance we're all under in Cadens now that you're here. I'll hold you to both the beach and the visit if... well, when I get back.

He's a good man. We met last year, not long after he arrived. I used the healing spell you taught me and he recognized it.

Noted, I'll limit my exploring to everywhere else outside of there. And he is, to say the least. I used that spell on him in hopes it'd help so I'm glad it's gone to good use.

Sylvain made it back to the Free Cities if you need another familiar face around there, and I can give you directions to stop by the loft. That or I expect most everyone will be at the Inn if you've stopped by yet.
