to: everyone

Everyone. There has been nothing convenient about entertaining a few of our divine friends these past months. At this point, I believe some of them meddle in our lives on purpose. But you know how these beings are. Loving, violent and above all selfish. But their conduct should never be mistaken as good or bad.

Do you want the opinion of a professional? Itโ€™s human.

Of course, when I examine our delusions about being divine, and remember my mortal origins, it motivates me to question where they come from.

Were they once human like us?

In any case, I would like to remind you that your memories will take you by surprise. Not today. Nor tomorrow. But someday you will recall more about who you were, and perhaps find you cannot stand it. And whether that happens today or tomorrow, take a seat and have a drink, and try not to take yourself too seriously.

I think Umbvagher's actions imply that there is. He wanted us to know what was coming ahead. He must still remember when he became one, if he showed us what could be for our future.

I don't believe there is anything of that sort left behind, the only people who have access to gods directly are in Solvunn. The only reason I knew about the former Summoned was through historical texts in Thorne, but they lost information about what happened next when the High Mage at that time founded Solvunn and left.

When the High Mage was exiled, it was five hundred years after the Summonings began. As we know from our experience, or what the god showed us, they started becoming gods long before the five hundred years ended. My guess is they were already free of influence and left to do what they wished, or they went to Solvunn with him and were welcomed as the New Gods they are known to be now.

It is unlikely to be the exact same, but we do know in a general way where it is going.

I think in the most positive readings of what happened, we can say that Umbvagher's actions warned people where they could end up. We now have the ability to approach the future with more caution. But I do not know if there is any way for us to get off this path. The Singularity has been changing us from the beginning. We've gained new powers and connections to the divine, some of us have physically been changed. How we react to this is up to us, but I caution people from denying it entirely.

By telling them it was a vision and not a reality, not yet. We may not be able to fight against the end result, but we can choose how to walk the road there.

I just don't see a way around it. The Singularity keeps supplying us with power, which seems like the inevitable road for how we got there. As we consume its energy and the magic and lifeforce of this sphere, our own power grows and warps.

It has to be the combination of our natural sphere's power and this one. We have our own form of energy that the locals would not have. That's why I think it is possibly warping us. But we will find out eventually, yes.
