Are YOU used to angels being real? Please think Yes/No/Biblically/what's an angel responses directly to me so cranky people don't threaten other people's livelihoods again.

minds will be blown
The Catholic holy book is called the Bible. There's a six-pointed star in Judaism, which is related I guess. There is a mother figure - the Madonna. The mother of the Son. She's not a god, but she is... venerated? I'm not sure what the word is. You're not supposed to worship her, but you can honor her and ask her to intervene for you. There are warrior saints, like Joan of Arc, but I've forgotten a lot of the catechism. I haven't gone in a long time. Maybe Michael, if you're looking for the warrior? But he's supposed to be an angel, and I don't think they're real.

Can you tell me more of Joan of Arc?

I don't remember much. She said God spoke to her and gave her advice for the French army, so they let her lead. She was good at it. Then something happened, and everyone decided it was evil that she wore pants, so they executed her.

They killed a girl for wearing pants? Sounds mad. Less mad that they'd want to kill someone who led an army. Did the French army falter after that? It would not surprise me if they did, if they had no one to follow who they believed in. You cannot expect your men to bleed for you if you will not bleed for them.
Sorry - twas on vacation
Humans are kinda mad all the time. It's the only way to explain all the wars and fighting. I think they won a few decades later. It was during the Hundred Years War, so the whole thing was slow.
back from hiatus!
Men are ever at war. That's the way it is where I come from, too. It isn't a thing of note if a king is good at war, though when I was a boy, I thought it was — it's a thing of note if he can bring peace and keep it. His people need harvests, not battles. But if they have battles, they must have a commander who is worthy of the name. You can't ask men to die for a foolish cause.
