Thorne Summoned, Nott is getting bombarded by these winds, many of their boats are sinking, in disrepair, or in danger. I can teach people wind and shield spells in case. If you're willing to come help them, and the hospital could still use assistance, please come through the portal.


To the rest of the Summoned: are you experiencing the same heavy winds? I haven't heard if it's across the continent.

Cadens usually gets sandstorms, so I didn't think anything of it. It is a pretty bad season, the air quality is in the pit and we're starting to worry about losing street-people here. Some folks are setting up relief spots and hostels, but...

Yes, Nott is a poor town right by the water and they're getting slammed by them. Fishing is part of their commerce and the ships are being destroyed.

Thorne government doing anything for those people, or are they just hung out to dry?

The lightning around the Singularity would suggest something is going on, although I don't know that we can directly tie it to the weather yet. But it's a strange enough occurrence we should flag it.

Nott and the crown have issues so I'm certain they'd rather not, but they may not have a choice. Borrel, another city by the sea, is protected better with their military walls and wards. Thorne could do that for them, but there will be a price.

The people are doing okay so far, the damage is being done to the crops and animals, which is a concern too. I don't know what will happen if they get worse though. They don't have walls or protections like other places.

How bad is it looking? Not much of a magic man myself but I can offer some manual labor.

Manual labor will be helpful here, there are broken ships and patchwork to be done. If these winds keep happening I'm afraid the damage here could be very bad. They rely on their fishing for their economy.

They definitely need that. I unfortunately am very little help construction wise, I've been assisting with magic.

I suppose I have become that. There are others here who can direct us to where to help. I'm sure they'd greatly appreciate the Summoned helping here.

No, which makes me think they're unnatural. I've been told winds do sometimes happen, but not like this. With the Singularity's lightning, and the Horizon's alteration (have you been there?), we may be with something bigger than weather.

At this point all we can do hope is this is temporary. You may need to learn a spell yet.

With how rough it is out there, I find it hard to imagine that Lyle Vela won't have to swallow his pride, unfortunate though that may be.

He will. It is regrettable but he'll put his people first.

Given the situation, it's what he must and should do. As much as I know his wish is to become independent of the crown, these storms are not to be underestimated.

Unlike with the rift monsters, we can't exactly be deployed to cut down storm clouds.
