Most of you long-timers know this already, so this is more a PSA for the folks we've gotten over the last few months that might not be aware yet.

My name's Dean. Me and Jo run a dive bar in the Horizon called the Roadhouse. It's wide open to any summoned that feels like swinging in. If you like decent imaginary beer or playing imaginary pool, you're welcome any time. If neither of us are behind the bar, it's self-serve.

Also, don't touch the jukebox or I'll kill you.

The main clientele we cater to is hunters, so we've got a board where people can leave a heads-up about anything monster-y you happen to run across out there in whatever faction you're holed up in. If you're looking for tips on a job, odds are you'll find somebody seasoned here to hook you up.

If you're a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed up-and-comer looking for a career change, look somewhere else. This ain't a recruitment ad.

( ooc: this is your helpful periodic reminder that The Roadhouse is wide open for anyone to use as a setting for their threads, if you're looking for a Horizon-neutral domain to use as an excuse for two characters to meet, or you need a neat backdrop with a dartboard, feel free to make use of it! I get along very well with Castiel. We are kin spirits, I think.

[ Not only in the way they love their best friends, but that isn't a surprise either. They could only love their best friends, for that person to get under their skin and shake them out of their logic. It's why Castiel turned to him for advice, albeit he did that with others, but Istredd is like him. ]

If I may make a suggestion. With the understanding this is up to you from here, with no expectation.

What happened to you was insane and not many people could get it. There is one person here who survived the Mark, and it altered him in damaging permanent ways. I think it would be a waste not to take advantage of the option to talk.

That's fair. I told him to stop killing people in the Horizon so it's probably fine. We have a 70-30 chance of him listening to me. I give a very good 'disappointed' face, it helps.

I should also note that I'm from Geralt's world. I'm aware of much of what happened with you. It appears our two spheres are very interconnected here.

Yenna's not particularly happy about all of that. We thought he was going to kill you, although I did say I assumed they'd try to save you first.

Well, he hasn't knocked my ass out for it yet, so yeah, I guess you could say that.

I asked him to kill me. Cas wouldn't let him. I guess it worked out, but I wasn't too happy about the way it went down either.

It was out of your hands by that time. It doesn't matter now. What's done is done, and you're alive. And already making good choices with your life such as. Castiel.

We learn pretty early on not to dwell on the past where I was raised. Something that confuses Lucifer a great deal, since he never stops dwelling. But I hope that you can move forward.
