@everyone
[On the nearest surface: a mess of spidery calligraphy, words from a curious mind, written with a mental hand. Though accustomed to shorthand, he prefers the traditional touch, and believes it to be the courteous option.]
Well, that wasn’t a boring weekend, not that one.
It was wonderful to meet some of you in person - and enormously encouraging to meet so many new faces. I hope the masquerade entertained you all. But, on the other hand, wasn’t there something peculiar about it? Does anybody else feel led up the garden path? I fear this is me being paranoid but…
I think the Fey mean to return to this world. I know I would be delighted to get back home and, I might add, so would many of you. It’s only natural we miss our loved ones. “My heart to joy at the same tone. And all I loved, I loved alone.”
Now, I suggest we discuss our impressions of our hosts this week and what we managed to glean by means of information. The most pressing and urgent problem I think, without doubt, is their intentions. Perhaps we should discuss our experiences and share what we learned. It could prove useful. Our small community cannot afford to misplace its trust, and I advise we exercise critical thinking at this juncture.

And when one worries about triggering political fallout by rejecting an invitation, what does that imply about the sender? It characterises them with a pervasive pattern of instability. Hardly the best way to make an impression, is it?

And surprise surprise, the second we get back, they're pumping us for info. The same humans who almost annihilated the Fey once already. The folks in Nocwich who want back land they can't even live in? Yeah, they're guilting us for taking basic disaster aid that THEY offered to begin with.
I've been here for two years. I've had plenty of time to listen and observe, and I know what I've seen.

Are you aware that such patterns of overly affectionate behavior in the beginnings of any relationship are signs of a deliberate and manipulative tactic of exerting influence through psychological manipulation?
[Does he have to explain love-bombing now?]

Don't fucking try to gaslight me. The Fey didn't ask us for anything. Not information about the factions, not favors, nothing. They just wanted to talk to us.
Psychological manipulation is telling people they need to act like spies just 'cause you didn't leave them to die. It's kidnapping people and then telling them they're penniless on their own... unless they join your army, of course. All their needs will be provided for... as long as they never leave your castle. They'll be treated like gods...
Okay, well, actually I don't know what's happening in Solvunn, but we all know it's something sketch as fuck.
What's your aim here, exactly?

To exchange thoughts and express my concerns whilst gaining a different perspective.
When I require more knowledge about an affair I seek a range of opinions to eliminate any confusion. It's called critical thinking. Just because our debate has gotten lively doesn't mean I'm ignoring what you're saying.

This is just trolling 101. You're looking to get a rise, I think. Make folks doubt themselves. Doubt people who haven't wronged us.
At least you're putting more effort into your manipulation than other shit-stirrers have. Dressing it up with all the low level psych terms is a nice touch. Are you gonna tell me I'm being hysterical next?

We have been afforded the chance to live beside the Fae for one week, but you have only known me for one minute. How have I wronged you other than ask questions you find personally uncomfortable? I agree our means of arrival are discouraging and confess myself a cynic - but I am not responsible for your issues with the local community. Take responsibility for your issues with the people who provided you with a home and don't project them upon somebody else in the same boat who lives here but happens to disagree with you.

It's not projection to recognize my own lived fucking experience. It is projection to believe that actual kindness must have some sinister agenda lurking behind it. Did you ever consider that you maybe just can't understand why the Fey might be genuine because YOU aren't genuine? Because YOU would only be kind if you stood something to gain from it?
Cheaters think everyone else cheats. Liars think everyone else lies. Game recognizes game.

So check what implications you are making. It's not wise to publically announce that you measure your relationships in terms of what people can provide.

Oof. Big L for you.
Peace, bitch.
