@everyone.
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
hi everyone. this is robin. robin buckley? what's up? i look like this
also!
what's the situation like on swapping factions? has anyone ever done it before? on the scale of "monkeys can do it" to "basically reinventing space travel" what are we talking about in terms of difficulty? optimism is very appreciated.
over and out!

Which factions?

Other than the peace summit? There was when those guys opened the portals initially. The only other way is expensive, illegal, risky, and honestly I don't even know if it's possible anymore.

Also, I don't even know if it's possible anymore. Things have changed in Thorne. There are eyes where there didn't used to be, now.

[ In Solvunn, it would probably be considered subversion of the old gods, warranting exile. In the Cities, she's not sure if there's even a way to learn outside of specialized, highly regulated classes, and defection might very well lead to another attack on the other factions. ]
Based on how few people seem to be able to do it, it seems harder than most things. If it was easy, it wouldn't cost so much on the black market. Hell, even a legit portal ticket between cities runs high.

[ Does she need to stab someone, Robin? ]

Let me look into it. There's got to be a way to do it and maybe I can call in some favors.

I can't promise you'll like the answer, but it's at least something I can look into for you. I know there was a large group that fled Thorne back at the beginning, but there were extenuating circumstances, and I'm sure Thorne has closed whatever hole in their security allowed it then. But that doesn't mean it's impossible.
Besides. The information might be useful for me eventually, as well.

[ Said with absolute fondness, but Steve's stubbornness is pretty much legendary at this point, Sam never met a rule he couldn't bend or outright break, and Wanda...
Yeah, she's not even touching that one. ]
Which isn't a bad thing. It just wouldn't mesh very well with Thorne's... anything, really.
Don't worry about it. Like I said, I can't make any promises. And with the recent kidnappings, now might be a bit of a struggle to get anyone across any borders, since I suspect they'll be watching us more closely for a while. For our own protection, of course. [ Or so they'll claim. ] But if there's a way to do it, I'm sure we can find it.
[ She wonders if the Creed brother in charge of trade between Thorne and Solvunn might be someone she could ask about this? She makes a mental note of that, along with the need to reach out to the others to see if they have any ideas. ]

I met a shark-dude just the other day and was hoping to start animal-people bingo, you know?

But it's not like his legs were ordinary human legs stuck on to a shark head either.
He also had KILLER biceps.

You're a cat with sunglasses?
And what's wrong with your current location?

Only happened during the Peace Summit, Thorne doesn't like letting their people go, and no one's managed to use the same magic those rando strangers did to port people out since everyone fled.
