( to everyone )
So, that guy the other day —
( sam, the guy was sam. )
He talked about that holiday with the bird and the eating and the sitting around and talking about the good times. Never really got that myself but I made due.
Anyway, after that is the big holiday for the people from my planet. The one where you put up a tree that makes a mess, decorate until you're the most gaudy house on the street and get presents.
But, getting the feeling that not everyone does that here. So, what do you do? If you do the gift giving holiday, what other traditions do you have?
If you don't, what do you do? If anything, I guess? Maybe you don't do squat and that's sad.
Bee tee dubs, if you're looking for a gift to give me, I could use a coat. It's cold in Farm City.

Hanukkah was always next on the calendar for me.
and my people, since that's the turn of phrase we're going for.

(it is hard to not notice marc's handwriting in a sea of messages. not sure if that's a blessing or a curse.)]

Personally I'm not really religious, but I've been invited to some rather unique supernatural celebrations, although those are more of a New Year-esque style.

Most involve a lot of dancing and fighting, usually at the same time.
Vampires have their parties, which go from the extremely high class, pseudo royalty like ones to ragers on secret clubs. Not a fan to be honest.
I'm pretty sure the Fae just have orgies? I don't know.

Most people at least go out and get drunk for Armistice Day, I guess. What's the point of letting the Calendar tell you when to give out your gifts?

It's about half big memorials, and half "The aliens didn't kill us all, so let's get drunk." People like an excuse to party.

You'd be better off recruiting someone more experienced.

Your description of decorations reminds me of this, though it would be better to speak to Himeka for the details of the matter.

[ Look, even children recognized the Warrior of Light's weakness for sidequests. Elidibus was hardly going to miss it. ]
What?
Ah, children? If so then yes. For children. Decorations were images that invoked the winter season or evergreen trees decorated with ornamentation and lighting.
