Considering recent events - anyone else having luck in their research? The mirror, the poison berry - have these symbols appeared before?

He has two aspects. In His mortal form he wouldn't know Himself. So no, not really and that's not who we pray to, anyway.

[ It's not really something that he thinks about. Nayeshi is called paradise, but it's a real, physical place - and it's not filled with the souls of Basawar's dead. ]

Well, your soul is supposed to be immortal.

There's no afterlife in your religion?

We believe in spirits. I've seen priests raise them to speak to the recent dead, briefly.

I've always believed in death as a release. A peaceful void. The priests don't really speak of it more than that. Maybe the soul eventually returns to the land, to god.

[ It would be nice to believe that after that he would be joined with his sister again, but that's just an idle hope. ]

I've heard that a soul can be obliterated. A strong enough curse can swallow it whole, leaving nothing behind.

I know it doesn't really make sense scientifically, but there's a lot we don't understand, so

I guess it's just reassuring to think that when people die, they aren't really gone.

I lost my little sister some years ago. I should have protected her, but I wasn't there. Every day I wish I could speak with her one more time.
