So I've been kinda thinking that in light of the shit that just went down, maybe I'd sign up with the military. I've got a pretty sweet gig monster hunting, but it just doesn't feel like it has any meaning, you know? I've trained for this shit (the military) pretty much my whole life, so I figure they could use me. I’ve been here for like a year now and I kinda figure that if I was brought here for a reason, this is probably it.

I was just wondering if anyone else here has had much contact with these guys. What are your impressions? Have you signed up already? How's the pay, and do they seem decent to you? Any spectacularly hot babes I should know about?

It does only serve the cities, but how is a Nation that different from a deity that is in charge, at the end of the day? Besides the slight different in mortality.

I guess the weird part of all of this is wanting to fight people who literally inhabit the same planet as you.
This whole setup is weird.
And I'd kinda expect God to have a good reason for fighting, you know?
To protect himself and all nine of his Houses - so that's nine planets worth of people.

God, for all that I've experienced, is at best in different to the decisions made by man and his Church, so I fully support questions on that front.

But....if the set up is weird, then I think that is worthy of examination and consideration.

See, that bothers me in a different way. How do you have free will if God keeps coming down and making waves in mortal affairs?

You know that I have no kind truths here, just experience. And the ultimate thing I've learned is that there is no linear nature to what happens in the aftermath of loss. Just many bad ideas, and you haven't gone ahead and impaled people, so you're better off than I ever was.

Hard for me to say considering He's the only one I've ever had.
And like, you're talking to a girl from a fucked-up cult right at the far edge of the solar system.
He pretty much left us to our own devices most of the time, guarding the Tomb for Him.
