My name is Matthew Murdock and I'm wondering if anyone could help me or point me in the direction where I could help myself.

( this isn't something he really needs but he figures it'll give him an idea of both who all is here, what they can do, and who might answer a call for help from someone they think needs it. )

For those that don't know me, which is nearly everyone, I'm blind. To save you any questions, I've been that way since I was a kid, it doesn't hurt, you can see my eyes if you want, and no, I don't have a dog. Wish I had a dog, they're cute.

Anyway, when I showed up here, I came without walking cane. I've been using a branch because it's what's available but I'm hoping someone might recommend a place to either buy something similar or resources to make one.

( he doesn't need the cane, really, but it's good to have for a myriad of reasons. )

If nothing else, I can stick my hands out and go at that it that way but I'd rather not apologize for accidentally grabbing someone. Thanks in advance.

But, I know who Steve is. We're not personal friends or anything but, from what I've learned, I think we're from the same world. I live in Hell's Kitchen.

Looks like you got yourself options to pick from in Cadens at least.

If you're particularly attached to the branch, I'm sure we could find a way to incorporate it.

Guess I just got lucky in the dream. Or maybe it translated my very fashionable branch into something better.

And yeah, I think I've got a few good options to choose one. Maybe I'll get a couple in case I lose some in another nightmare.

I think some sort of metal would probably work better. That's what I'm used to. Seems to hold up well since I do a lot of walking.

You can definitely suggest it but I already took your advice and I've been using a branch for awhile.

Yes, I'm inclined to agree. I see Jayce has already invited you to the workshop--if you describe to us what you're used to using, I'm sure we can create a sufficient replacement.

I have not a dog, but my pet gryphon is a loyal pet, if you are looking for one. Though, on second thought, he's a bit more of a cat than a dog, and loafs about most of the day, so... this may actually not be useful. Are you looking for a dog? Perhaps I could help you find one! I have a small bit of an in with the local animal market. Or I could craft you a bird. It may not last longer than a day or so, though...

What I used back home was basically a metal walking stick that was about half as tall as me that folded in three places for easy storage.

I know describing it without seeing you in person isn't perfect but just to give you an idea.

I'm a little upset that I don't get to see your very fashionable branch before it is replaced by something more apt for the job.
Is there anything you wish you had on your person from home?

Why, of course! It's my specialty. As I said, it may not be permanent like others I have made in the past, but it could be a companion for a day or so. Something small, like -- well, what do you like? Cardinals? Chickadees? Ravens?

It's a very nice branch. I'm pretty sure there's a leaf on the end that might one day be a tree. Saving the world, one branch at a time.

I'm not really sure. There's a lot of things I think about and try to locate before I realize that I don't have them but they're also things I can do without.

The cane's the big one. I could always do with more clothes. Feels weird not to be wearing ties and suits all day.
