I've never done a public message like this before, so I hope I'm doing it right.

My name is Nadine Cross, some of you know me already. I've recently come to the Free Cities and set up in Cadens. I'm a practicing herbologist, an amateur healer, and a student at the Cadens Academy of Medicine. And I'm available to offer patching up, potions, and other medical assistance to any of us in the Free Cities.

I'm not a doctor, I'm still learning and I have a LOT to learn, but I can handle things like bleeding wounds and burns and minor broken bones. I don't charge since I need the practice anyway, and I figure there's plenty of reasons that people like us would prefer not to have to go to a local -from discretion to expense.

But I hope you don't need my services too much.

Thank you. I've already patched up a couple of us, why not offer the same to all of us? At least all of us in the same kingdom, I can't do much long distance.

I would be surprised if you could. My own experience with healing has required fairly close distance.

Regardless, it is a worthy pursuit. I do not think any world could ever have enough healers.

That's usually a requirement.

Thanks. I just want to help people, I guess. I fell into this healing thing and it's been working out. Why not make it official?

Fell into? Were all of your healing skills learned in this world?

Most of them. I knew some field medicine, you could call it, from back in the world I came from. I was a teacher, actually, I taught young children.

But I got a job a while ago working for a medical herbalist in Nott, she's elderly and needed someone to gather and prepare and mix ingredients for her. So I started an unofficial apprenticeship, and now here we are.

I see. So caretaking in some form is not unfamiliar to you.

I do recall you saying you went to a city south of Castle Thorne, which I believe is Nott. It is good that something helpful came from your travels.

Yeah, you could say that.

That was Nott. It was barely a city compared to Cadens. But it did give me a good start, I was able to find a job easily with the experience I got there.

I did have a question, considering you seem rather well-traveled. How was traveling from city to city? Did you experience any difficulty?

[The trouble of not being allowed to leave the city.]

It wasn't the easiest thing. I didn't exactly go through official channels to do it, to put it politely.

And it wasn't cheap.
