to: everyone

Everyone. There has been nothing convenient about entertaining a few of our divine friends these past months. At this point, I believe some of them meddle in our lives on purpose. But you know how these beings are. Loving, violent and above all selfish. But their conduct should never be mistaken as good or bad.

Do you want the opinion of a professional? It’s human.

Of course, when I examine our delusions about being divine, and remember my mortal origins, it motivates me to question where they come from.

Were they once human like us?

In any case, I would like to remind you that your memories will take you by surprise. Not today. Nor tomorrow. But someday you will recall more about who you were, and perhaps find you cannot stand it. And whether that happens today or tomorrow, take a seat and have a drink, and try not to take yourself too seriously.

Um. Okay, in old people terms, it would be like... if he had one public blog, but then other secret blogs behind the scenes he only tells certain people about. Usually cause either you either want to shoot the shit or cause you want to talk shit about people without them knowing.

My point is that he's from somewhere with social media AND enough of the same culture to mine, at least, to pull poses that specific. And my world's culture was mostly the same as a bunch of other people's.

Wait, did your world have 9/11? Are you still sad about it?
princessvegas: (183. you know that if you don't)

[ There is a bit of a pause here, slightly longer than usual when mind-texting with Julie. ]

So you think he's gay and that's his deal?

The point is that Umbvaghr was, at some point, from some version of our world, and not that far off our times. I guess he could have been something other than human, depending on the world, but he did NOT start off as a god on a different psychic plane or whatever.

I'm not gonna play your weird little game, Crane. You know where I stand.

You're the one who asked the question, were they once human like us? And I'm telling you yes, at least Umbvaghr was. Because he knows human culture, from a time that people can vouch for.

Well, wasn't it like thousands of years ago, and the first High Mage who summoned people got kicked out of Thorne and started Solvunn? So I think it was just Thorne and then like, maybe the Fey or the vampires and weres. But I don't know why it would really matter. I didn't feel "Free Cities"-y in the thing. Did you?
