TO: EVERYONE AT AROUND 12:15 AM
There is a military coup happening in Thorne. Admiral Sidwell has made a play for the crown that seems to be succeeding. The Summoned are currently being evacuated into safe rooms along with natives.
I thought this information best to be shared with all Summoned.
[He doesn't plan on bringing up how the doors are warded shut. That's for other people to say. This is all about information sharing, Istredd has other things to worry about.]

I'm as well as one can be under the circumstance. I wouldn't put it past him to attack Solvunn as well as the Free Cities, be careful.

We will. I hate that we have to stay underground, but the elders aren't asking us to stand by idly.

I think it's for the best. The gods may be your best defense given that Solvunn doesn't appear to have a large army, correct?

[ Her fear is, of course, that a military man may find them more expendable. But the resources needed to Summon and keep them...surely that should be worthwhile? ]
That's right, yes. People may call to arms to protect their home, but they're not soldiers. They're farmers, artisans, families who will just use what they have if they must. I wouldn't want them to see battle.

Then yes, I think those gods are the only true defense Solvunn has against the potential of Sidwell going to dominate there too. You must be prepared.

I have no doubt that's been on the Council's mind of late. As we know the gods now and what they're capable of, I hope it doesn't come to that.

I would say it's unlikely anyone would be foolish to cross the gods after everything, but Thorne still is reluctant to believe in them. Or at least not put as much stock in them as Solvunn. Sidwell is no different, I think.

I've never been great for politics. But I'd rather not find out the hard way what he decides to do next.
Either way, please take care of yourself. If there's any way we can support you across borders, we will.
