If you have access to any books on Thorne's historic architecture and would be willing to do a light bit o research in response to several questions that have come up, I would be deeply obliged. We can discuss reimbursement as well.

I can't imagine there will be much on Thorne's architecture here, of all places. But looking shouldn't be too much trouble.

A fact with which I cannot argue. But if I may... why the desire to seek information on their architecture, of all places?

There's a particular building here in Cadens that has a few elements of their style and has a direct impact on the place's acoustics. (Public speaking hall, so I can't dismiss out of hand.) The thing is in a state of disrepair, and I've taken the matter on as a project.

What, like an amphitheater? That's hardly something that would be unique to their architecture.

Enclosed space with specific ceiling construction. I have a general idea of how it works but I need the exact information.

I have some familiarity with that sort of structure. Though I cannot speak to what I have been unable to see, naturally.

Well, I'd like to hear about what you are familiar with.

Chapels, amphitheaters, audience halls... there are a number of different buildings that could easily occupy the space you have described. And though the primary function is largely the same in each, how that space is used will often vary from one to the other.

What questions have come up?

Mostly about the construction methods and materials used in a form of arches several centuries ago to help amplify voices from a set spot on a stage or at a podium.

...You mean acoustics? I think you can probably find literature on how to construct a room with good acoustics anywhere...

The accuracy is important. This is an older building, with details from Thorne's style.

Maybe we should start from the beginning then, if accuracy is important. What exactly are you trying to do?

I suppose that the context is needed, yes.

There is a speaking hall in Cadens that dates back to Thorne's occupation of the city. It is in need of refurbishing, and there is a preference for keeping to the older style of the building. There is also a need to preserve the tricks in the architecture that work with sound so that people in the back can here.

As such, I'm in far more need of books on Thorne's architecture in order to preserve this place properly.

I can check the libraries for any information... If these tricks are magic they might not be easy to replicate, though.
