One of the things I've felt most fortunate about my time here is that I get the opportunity to meet so many people from so many different places. And I know I'm not alone in that!

Some of us has been here for a few summers while others only a moon or so, and it's not always easy when we have malms and mountains between us. But one of the best ways to understand where someone comes from is through what they like to eat. Right?

So, Alucard and I have a proposal! This could be the opportunity to create the first universe-wide cookbook. So if you have something to contribute from your world, whether it's your favorite dish, an old family recipe, or just something that you think is a staple to show off your culture's palette, let us know!

Here's an example:

Kaki Zōsui
World: Etheirys
Region: Ruby Sea
Town: Sui-no-Sato (adapted)

• 15 oysters
• 2 bowls of steamed rice
• 3.5 oz enoki mushrooms (halved)
• 2 green onions (chopped)
• 2 dodo eggs (optional)
• 1 sheet of nori (seaweed, thinly chopped)
• 4 cups dashi soup
• 3 tbsp soy sauce
• dash salt

Wash the steamed rice and strain to remove the stickiness. Put dashi and soy sauce in a saucepan and bring to boil. Add enoki mushrooms.

When the dashi mixture boils, add rice and oysters, then cook for 5 minutes on low. (If you are using eggs, now is the time to beat them in a separate bowl.)

Add a dash of salt, (and beaten eggs), then green onion. Turn off the heat, cover, and let the soup stand for 3-4 minutes

Serve in a bowl with sprinkled nori!

And if you've got no clue about the specifics of your recipe, maybe just let us know what it's supposed to taste or look like? I'm sure Alucard and I can figure something out. Have you tried his hand pies? They will change your life!

Bread is surprisingly varied, I've found. And honestly if you simply cannot decide, I would be happy to feature more than one recipe. We do have many people from the same stars, after all!

Wonderful! I don't think we need excuses to travel to Nocwich every moon, but it is nice to gather everyone all the same. Especially if there are drinks. Mayhaps we can see what the Luna think as well?

I haven't, though I've considered it. I do make it a point to try and learn how to make my favorite dishes from where I've traveled, though.

They got a little confused. They were supposed to create food for everyone when they had to flee our star at the End of Days, but they kind of focused only on carrots. So they made carrots that tasted like so many different things and served different nutritional purposes.

Unfortunately, most tasted like shite.

Nophica is the Matron of the Harvest for Eorzea. She deals with harvests and abundance and whatnot.

I'll keep that in mind! One of my favorite kinds is a flatbread that's rather soft and with a bit of thickness to it. It's perfect for going with a good stew or cleaning up a plate, though Fodlan's got a variety of it that's not half bad either.

Now that you mention it, I wonder if one of the taverns there might not mind us taking over for a proper sort of get together. Cooking there might be a little easier, and we could treat them to a meal for a change. Maybe we'll end up with a few more things for you to add to your favorites then.

Oh a flatbread! Yes, I definitely have to try this myself. I'm a big fan of soups and especially anything can you can add to your soup.

That's a fantastic idea! They Luna have a relatively similar culture to Solvunn and that sort of thing would definitely be acceptable here. In fact, we used to take over one of the most popular taverns every time we would get new Summoned in.
