I’m not sure they have a name for the aftermath of a dragon having a bbq, Hilda. But that’s probably close enough. I know the Inn renovations have been keeping a lot of us busy, but the devastation from the aftermath of the monster attacks left a lot of places either completely destroyed or close to it.

The Red Path was important for a lot of reasons to the natives here and if they want to get some vegetation and seedlings replanted there so it’s not a wasteland come spring. That means we’re a little limited on time to get things transferred and planted before winter officially hits. At least what the desert calls winter, anyway...

Anyway indeed and before we get too far into Sylvain’s thoughts on the weather - we’ve come up with an idea on what to do. It involved a little fundraising and some talking here and there, but we’ve found those willing to donate funds to purchase some supplies to make this happen or the supplies themselves from merchants around Cadens. Some of the soil we brought back from the Nether will also be going to good use here in hopes of making sure everything planted does as well as it can, and hopefully it’ll be good as new soon. Or, well, as close to it as we can get, considering.

While we’ll be out there working on this regardless, we wanted to extend the invitation to anyone else who might be willing to join in. It shouldn’t take up too much of your time, and any help would be greatly appreciated to help the Red Path recover a little quicker. Promise there’s also a round of drinks back at the Sarstina for anyone who stops by.

Yes, I would be interested in conducting a compositional analysis. Who knows? It may have other applications.

Let's try a few, to start. I don't want to accidentally kill your entire greenhouse.

That'd be even better if you find anything out. If I'm honest, I'd started hoping there might not only be benefits for the land around the Cities but possibly also the Nether if there's something else to be found there.

And... I might be telling on myself here, but I might've gone a little overboard with the amount of plants we grew. Apart from what was donated, we should have enough to see how these might end up going just for yet another comparison, hopefully.

The idea for the system is that it's scalable, yes? This could be the start.

Just because you have an excess doesn't mean we should sacrifice them needlessly. Perhaps the hardiest species, for now.

That's a very good point. Not to mention a good demonstration of the capabilities when it comes to potential plans after this, with any luck.

And I was thinking of it as less than a sacrifice but worth seeing how, say, about half of them do out there compared to the ones still in the original setup. I'm hoping we can eventually prove they're hardier than they would be otherwise though perhaps we can do that in stages. A few now, a few more later, that sort of thing.

Then we need two sets of each kind. One for the control group, one for outdoors. There are a lot of factors involved--I hope you've been taking good notes.

I have. One might even call them annoyingly detailed notes at that, but I wanted to make sure I included too much rather than too little.

Maybe we could call it three groups. There's a section of plants out in the desert where I'd collected these back when I've also been monitoring over the weeks since, so we also have that data if it'd be of use.

Hey now, I didn't say what size of notebook! This one's rather... voluminous, that's a good word for it. Talented at holding all kinds of papers with other notes or diagrams safely tucked way in it beyond just the pages themselves. Prime for keeping organized!
