I overheard a pair of soldiers discussing Prime Minister Marlo’s declaration of martial law, and indefinitely postponed elections. They implied she has a history of election bribery, and mentioned the disappearance of someone named 'Latimer'.

Does 'Latimer' sound familiar to anyone? What else have the rest of you heard?

This message goes to the Summoned of the Free Cities only. For obvious reasons, let’s keep the suspect nature of our leader to ourselves for now.

It’s intriguing, doubtlessly. Unfortunately, there don’t seem to be many leads to follow up on this “Latimer” person. If their information or actions were threatening enough to need removal, that’s worth learning about. Do you plan to investigate?

I can't pretend I didn't hear it. If they were murdered just for knowing too much, that's something that the public deserves to know about. If they were just paid a large sum of money and told to make themselves scarce and keep their mouths shut, that still isn't great, but it sounds more like the typical behavior of a politician trying to keep their nose clean.

Informing the public may not be wise, considering the conflict with Thorne. It's a dangerous time for civil unrest. Regardless, we can't know without more information.

Questioning the soldiers more may be illuminating, but I don't imagine it'd go unnoticed by the Prime Minister.

Yeah, I wouldn't coming out with anything until we knew the details and decided it was worth the risk. Still, it rubs me the wrong way to think she believes she can just get away with this kind of thing.

There's another Summoned who's joined up with the military. He might be able to ask around and not be quite as suspicious.
