In Thorne there isn't much useful information recorded about their gods, at least not in the castle.

Considering recent events - anyone else having luck in their research? The mirror, the poison berry - have these symbols appeared before?

I would reach out to Himeka, she recently warned us about the dead rising possibility, before it happened. She has been in Solvunn for a long time, she might have a better idea. Solvunn is heavily steeped in gods.

I'll look in the Free Cities libraries and let you know if I find anything.

Have you noticed any shrines or signs of any worship in the cities?

I ask because I've noticed almost none in Thorne. I wonder about the reason for the lack of it.

I assume we faired as much as anyone else in terms of emotional damage. We've mostly tried to go back to business as usual. Libertas was the focal point of a lot of the dead rising, unsurprisingly, although we had some in the graveyards here.

No, Free Cities is not religiously based, it is an industrial and academic place mostly. I haven't seen any shrines or signs of worship. I assume there are people who have their own beliefs, they might have shrines in their house.

I have read there's a type of magic based on the gods, or asking the gods for blessings, called High Magic but it's considered old and superstitious here. I don't know if the recent happenings will change any thoughts on this yet.

High magic is considered mostly same here. Maybe a little more respectfully, but definitely outdated.

For how well they keep records, they've left out any mention of the actual names of gods. It could just be the effect of time, but considering these omens... I wonder now if it wasn't more deliberate.

I doubt I'll find much here either, considering how much Free Cities leans into science and technology, they would find that mostly mythology in comparison.

If you can't get a hold of Himeka, Wanda is also a good point person. I believe the two of them are really involved with things in Solvunn. I wonder if they have any of the gods named.

I suppose it makes most sense for people to worship the Singularity now.

I'm almost sorry I can't visit the settlements there. Sounds like an interesting place.

I agree, it sounds beautiful. Farmland, trees, wildflowers. Very different from the desert.

There is a city in Free Cities that is. It's called Aquila, apparently an absolutely beautiful spot.

Are you all allowed to travel there?

Yes, we're allowed to travel to the other cities. We went to Libertas before it was destroyed, there was an art walk.

It was. It was a city of writers, artists, actors, and philosophers. Very creative people. They were very anti-military and war and tried to spread that way of thinking to Cadens during the art walk. Obviously feelings have changed.
