Back home, everyone knew that you only joined the military cause there weren't any other good options. Only a handful of people wanted to really climb ranks and be important generals. Most folks just needed money and a place to live and like, strict boundaries. So you enlist out of either determination or desperation. Not just because. So yeah, I'd say it's worth thinking real hard about. Are you that determined or desperate?
If you want to help Libertas and the Summoned in Thorne, it's better to work outside that system, I think.
