Correct.

The reality of how the concept came to pass into literature in my world was because knights were violent brutes causing chaos for kings. And they were given free reign to fight in another land entirely and take their violent urges out on so-called enemies of a religion. While that was happening, a new concept of being a knight was made: one who followed certain codes of respect, civility, and so forth. They might champion a just cause and hold to that civility.

A military post will direct you, but it won't serve your interests, it will serve someone else's. I...just worry. That's all.
