( to: everyone )
My name is Matthew Murdock and I'm wondering if anyone could help me or point me in the direction where I could help myself.
( this isn't something he really needs but he figures it'll give him an idea of both who all is here, what they can do, and who might answer a call for help from someone they think needs it. )
For those that don't know me, which is nearly everyone, I'm blind. To save you any questions, I've been that way since I was a kid, it doesn't hurt, you can see my eyes if you want, and no, I don't have a dog. Wish I had a dog, they're cute.
Anyway, when I showed up here, I came without walking cane. I've been using a branch because it's what's available but I'm hoping someone might recommend a place to either buy something similar or resources to make one.
( he doesn't need the cane, really, but it's good to have for a myriad of reasons. )
If nothing else, I can stick my hands out and go at that it that way but I'd rather not apologize for accidentally grabbing someone. Thanks in advance.

[Unfortunately, Jaskier may have missed the point about the dog.]
However, for anything further, I do endorse Jayce and Viktor's work. It is rather lovely stuff.

( there's a lot about what jaskier's said that he wants to ask about but that sticks out for matt. )

Why, of course! It's my specialty. As I said, it may not be permanent like others I have made in the past, but it could be a companion for a day or so. Something small, like -- well, what do you like? Cardinals? Chickadees? Ravens?

Would these be real birds? Or something mechanical? Pardon my curiosity, I've just never heard of this before.

I grew up in and around the church and the dove was one of those symbols that I saw a lot of.

Then I'd love to. If you tell me your whereabouts and leave a window open, I can send her over. They're rather smart creatures, I've found. I don't suppose you could leave a bit of bread out on a windowsill? Not that they need much care, but they still have a taste for the stuff. And then she'll fade away in a few days, as natural as falling asleep.
[At least, it's how he thinks about it: the magic, the chaos, sleeps, and returns to him. Any longer and it would drain him. And there it waits until he calls upon a new form for that chaos.]

And I'll leave some breadcrumbs as well.
Do I owe you anything for this?

Though, if you're inclined, come listen to me perform in one of the taverns. Simply ask where Jaskier plays. I do love having new ears.
[And thus, the next day, Matt will find a dove either pecking at his window or settling down to feast on the breadcrumbs, with a fun fluff of feathers on its head resembling a hat. It coos quietly, and will generally be very happy to sit on his shoulders or his head, for at least a few days.]

it was the least he could do. )
