But the false memories should be wrong, that's my point. If I have a dream that I'm an airplane pilot and I remember all the details when I wake up, does that make me qualified to fly a 747 in regular life? I've never even BEEN on a plane. But by your standard, I could get a pilot's license or perform surgery or build a rocket if I just believe and dream hard enough. No actual learning required.


No shit it's responsible. The question is why would it be the exact same as the "delusion" unless the "delusion" was something that's REAL? If it was just a "delusion", why are we getting and keeping the exact same aspects when the Singularity has never done anything like that before? We can't just TELL the Singularity to do jack shit, even subconsciously or whatever. The Singularity does what it wants, and what we saw was REAL, it just hasn't HAPPENED.
