This is Wanda.

Last time I brought this up I held conversation with quite a few who had concerns regarding the meaning of their own fortunes. Some worried about how much of a negative impact it could hold on them, or what it could mean for themselves as a person. How their actions here could affect who or what they could become. I took some time since to work on divination practices, joining what I could find in Solvunn about it with what I was told Lady Elin would do to get her readings.

I don't think I have all the answers, but I have some amount of... certainty. Which I think is nice to have considering how often we are proven wrong by circumstances we thought as true here. It has given me some peace of mind, personally, and maybe it will for others.

Her readings of my "future" don't match what I was able to see for myself. I'm aware that different interpretations can be a factor, but— these readings focus on what can be found on someone's overall life paths, a way to define who a person is, what drives someone. Potential situations, but not something quite set in stone. They may be meaningful reassurances, or a puzzle to work out. I'll continue to try and understand this better. And I won't mind getting to talk about it, either.

My take is that whatever actions should have been taken to earn yourself a foot into that possibility, you took them. I don't think those possibilities aren't likely to happen, under the right set of circumstances.

But I also don't want you to feel agitated about it. I know how difficult it was before we found those images in your head.

Have you felt anything similar to that time since?

( wanda thinks she hasn't, for julie would have told her. right? )

Maybe not so literally. I don't think you have to worry about thunder storms either.
I think your unique connection to the Singularity might have something to do with why yours was so different to what I've been able to find and theorize on.

No. Nothing else was the same. [ Thank Christ. ] I mean, stuff was on fire, but not purple flames. Just regular fire. Kinda goes with the lightning.

The visuals themselves seemed like something from here anyway. It is strange that you have that personal connection, though.

Picking at future possibilities will always sound a bit odd.
The images I get never make quite enough sense until I peg them down with specifics.

So I am just gonna get struck again and there's nothing I can do about it.

[ That's what Julie is getting from this. Julie, who grew up so accustomed to storms that she knew how to lock herself in a cellar before she knew how to ride a bicycle, is now terrified of thunderstorms, and this is not a helpful conversation in that regard.

There's another long pause, as she considers what she really should have told Wanda over Christmas but didn't because it was Christmas, something probably similarly disconcerting to anyone who isn't Julie. Her preferred method of doing this would have been with the ability to flutter away at the end, before Wanda could possibly process the actual words; her writing begins coming faster and more tightly pressed together as indication of how she might be stringing the words together in her mind. ]

Anyway, I guess it's whatever if I can't do anything about it. Que sera, sera. Although I don't think that song is really for this kind of thing. Anyway, just so you know, a couple of months ago, I went to the Singularity and touched it and went back to the blob for a few weeks, but it's okay, I'm fine, I got back fine, nothing bad happened except when I made a portal back and burst a bunch of blood vessels but I'm fine now promise, okay love you lots byeeeee 💖💛💚💙💜💝

( it really does feel like julie is stringing her words together in such a way that it takes a while for wanda to process it all; so it takes her longer to understand what is being shared with her, and those colorful hearts? it only makes it clearer to wanda that it's not so much trying to soften whatever was shared, but rather to distract.

( face-in-hands moment of worry. she's not going to aks the questions she wants to ask, because she isn't sure if julie will even reply at this point. )

I don't know how exactly that mirror works though. The movies didn't explain it much.

There was a three-part live action one made in the early 2000s. I watched them about a decade after they came out. I can try putting it up on the mirror some time when you've got a weekend to waste away. They're long.

It is pretty annoying, but that's just how probabilities work. The mystical doesn't escape that logic.

[ It's less that Julie wants to share so much as Wanda is the only person in Abraxas with even the slightest idea of what may or may not be going on with her weird experiences. It's akin to being honest with a doctor about all the risky shit one might do. They can't really help unless they know what you've been up to.

It takes her a little while to respond, possibly to give the actual impression of airily traipsing off. But eventually a response does come. ]

It does. It seems that the rites that Lady Elin uses are very similar to what can be found in readings here in Solvunn.

Mayhaps we should test this? We can visit Lady Elin and then see what you can divinate and whatnot.

Only if it wouldn't be a problem. I know that she reads for the Summoned from time to time, but I really haven't gone to her in what feels like forever.
