Given the nature of Nikodaemus, being the god of illusions, he can be quite dangerous. Some Elders consider him as such. I didn't really get much on him having a strong group of worshippers, at least here in Solvunn among the older members. It's a fine balance between the old and the new... though it might worth asking the younger members of the commune about it.
