[ it does suffice, and he knew it would, because it's vash and he never does things halfway. but more importantly, he'd thought it'd be easier after having it broken down like this (and it is), yet he still finds himself needing to walk away for a moment afterwards, going around to the back of the farm to take a long smoke break. it hits too close—the abductions and the experiments; the religion and whatever cult josselyn had going on. it felt like another lifetime since those initial days when he was taken in by the eye, but the memories still remain no matter how long it's been. no matter how he'd tried to forget it.
it makes him sick, the familiar cold dread settling heavy in his stomach. it makes him want to drive his fist through the wall of the farm. he was a fool to think he could put it all behind him. he was a fool to think he could ever escape it, even after getting pulled to another world entirely.
